Josh is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor and Attorney at Law with more than 20 years of experience in the land surveying profession. Josh's practice focuses on land surveying, land use matters, and land development consulting throughout the Texas Hill Country.
With a unique combination of surveying and legal experience, Josh brings a comprehensive perspective to complex property issues. His background allows him to help clients navigate land development challenges while understanding the legal framework that governs private property rights and the limits of local governmental authority under Texas law.
Josh has become a recognized voice within the surveying profession, spending the past decade presenting educational programs on surveying, boundary law, professional standards, and land development topics. He regularly speaks at conferences hosted by the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors (TSPS), the Texas Land Title Association (TLTA), and the State Bar of Texas. Josh previously served for 6 years as an Adjunct Professor of Land Surveying at The University of Texas at Tyler's Soules College of Business.
A dedicated leader within the profession, Josh is a Past President of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors and formerly served as Chair of the TSPS Standards Committee, where he led efforts to modernize the TSPS Manual of Practice.
Josh earned a Certificate of Proficiency in Surveying and Mapping Technology from Tyler Junior College, a Bachelor of Science in Technology with an emphasis in Surveying and Mapping from The University of Texas at Tyler, and a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law.
Josh was raised in Mason, but since 2017, Josh has lived in Fredericksburg along with his wife, Cara, and their two kids.
